Not forsaking…

Psalms 89:7

    “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.”

Isaiah 55:7

    “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Sitting down on my bed one beautiful morning, having this thought “GOD, why couldn’t I have made a better CGPA than the good one I had from the university?”, knowing fully well that I prayed about it and even had a miraculous entering into the institution.

GOD then brought to my remembrance, how I spent my life in school and what I was supposed to see(notice) which I didn’t see.

One of the friends He brought me in contact with, who was a genius and who I deviated from due to cunning diversions set by the devil(entering into a relationship).

Though entering into a relationship isn’t bad BUT remember Eccl 3:1?

Now, that same relationship is non-existent (just so you know that what the devil plans for a person doesn’t last after he has used it to achieve his wicked aim of making us fall).

GOD also brought to my remembrance how I secluded myself when studying, not going around to ask from those who (pride will not allow me accept)are more brilliant. e.g, My(genius)friend. And later, towards the end of my  semifinal academic year(when i became single; no more in the relationship), I met with my (brilliant) colleagues to ‘rob minds together’ before exams and had better grades…. 🙂

At the end of it all, I was shame-faced, apologizing to my Father for being ‘foolish’, not vigilant enough to have been able to see through the devil’s plan. (1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”)

You may be wondering; what is she getting at??

Well, I learnt a lesson from the ‘latter’ experience I shared up there;

No matter the level of understanding or revelations about the WORD that you have (which you believe surpasses even your pastor or church head or anybody’s own), please and please don’t stop going to Church. “Don’t forsake the gathering of the saints”(even if they are not all saints, there are still some saints.)Because from every word you hear from the altar, there will be one you’ll need to work with to get strengthened.

You were definitely not given those understandings from GOD so you can sit at home and have it all to yourself(selfishness). They are getting it all wrong in the Church? then show them how not to, through your actions (Faith + Works=Greatness).

As a True child of GOD, you correct the wrong in your place of worship wisely NOT run from it! Don’t just complain about things, act on making it better.(Actions speaks louder than words)

Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”

REMEMBER Romans 12:3-21

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
