Sanity…

You can’t keep your sanity and the Holy Spirit at the same time. You’ll just have to let go of one.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Peter experienced this on the water after hearing the word from Jesus “come”. His sanity disappeared then and the Spirit arose in him and he started walking on water. Then, he began to crave for his sanity back which he got when the Spirit had to leave.
Then, what happened? Peter began to sink (with his sanity). Had he known, he would have just stuck with the Spirit and continue breaking ‘world’ records.

Note: No matter the educational, monetary, honorary, etc. height one has attained, without the Holy Spirit indwelling, we are just FOOLS.

1 Corinthians 3:18
“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.”

1 Corinthians 3:19
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

God help us.

One comment on “Sanity…

  1. You had me going for a minute there. I was wondering where you were taking me. I was leaning towards well the Holy Spirit brings sanity through comforting, guiding, etc. But, I understand where you’re coming from now. I agree, you lose your ‘mind’ to follow the mind of Christ! Pretty cool way of thinking :0)

Check me out here, and I’d love your thoughts on any of the posts. Thanks 😀
