The Fear of the LORD…

2 Chronicles 19:7
“Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.”

Ephesians 6:16
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

 Deuteronomy 6:24
“And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.”

Do you know that even the devil himself obeys some Heavenly theorems which yield good returns for him? And he is cunningly convincing You and I not to obey those theorems so we won’t have access to the ‘good returns’ he is having access to. Hmmm….. So much greed and hate in a creature!

Let’s look at one of those Heavenly based theorems…
Proverbs 1:7
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

The devil fears GOD (guess that’s why he has to go ask GOD for permission before he can harm any of GOD’s children), he surely well knows his boundary and that’s why he is wise (remember Matthew 10:16).

We show a lack of fear when we disobey God and act contrary to His Words concerning us (believers) and this is mostly brought about by the devil’s cunning manipulations and control over humans (which the humans allow just as Eve allowed it in the garden of Eden).

Proverbs 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Psalms 111:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”

 Psalms 19:9
“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”

Luke 12:5
“But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

Psalms 2:11
“Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.”

2 Corinthians 7:1
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
