Yoking…

Gen 2

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

As a woman, anytime you get married to a man (and vice-versa), you get re-made spiritually which will surely show forth physically. This is the reason a woman/man who was once nice, caring, vivacious and loving becomes rude, uncaring, sluggish, depressive and hateful after marriage.

 2 Corinthians 6:14

    “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

This “unbeliever” might actually be that prayer leader, pastor, choir leader,etc you’ve been focusing your gaze on (the gaze that should have been focused on Jesus so He can bring the partner with all the things He (God) is gonna be adding unto you). And this “unbeliever” might actually be YOU.

It works both ways. You can either be the “Light” which shouldn’t be yoked with “darkness” OR the “Darkness” which shouldn’t be yoked with “Light”. Lets check our lives and begin on a ‘repenting journey’ spree now.

Are you the one staining your spouse’s “white garment” OR is He the one staining yours? This is a soul-searching question every couple going through marital issues need to be asking themselves and answering truthfully so there can be a solution to all the issues, with the help of GOD.

Gen 1

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

We were created “GOOD”, perfect, and fit for use (Luke 6:40 “The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”)  until the devil came (and is still coming) and brought (brings) about a re-make; BAD, unperfect, not fit for use.

Gen 2

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

This is how the remaking happens. There’s a merging. Just same way you can’t mix a rotten egg with a good one believing the purity of the good egg will enable the end product of both mixture come out well, so is same way you can’t mix with an “unbeliever” and expect a peaceful outcome in the marriage life or a change in the life of your partner through your own righteousness(which is even a “filthy rag” before GOD in the first place).

It will only take the intervention of GOD to turn things around in this kind of mixture when you – the believer asks Him. But you would have suffered or undergone harsh things before then, so why not just ask GOD to intervene everly before even entering or mixing or yoking with that person in the first place?

 2 Timothy 2

    15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Are You meet for the Master’s use??? (I’m also among the “You” o)

#Food for thought#

God help us.
