Supporting our ‘prayers’ (faith) with ‘actions’ (works).

There are some things we continuously pray for that doesn’t need ‘more prayers’ but ‘action’ to bring the answers (given already) to fruition.

Exodus 14:13-16. (This verse also defines Faith + Works. 13-14;Faith. 15-16;Works. [James 2:24])

13) And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14) The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

15) And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

16) But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

I can translate what GOD told Moses in vs 15-16 to be, “Why are you praying when you know what to do Moses?, just tell them to go forward now…(action) 🙂

James 2:17 – Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Like I was sharing with a brethren of recent, it’s just like this; someone’s Mum kept her meal on the table and instead of just picking the spoon and eating (action), she started praying to God to provide Manna because she’s so hungry. The Mum got back, saw her and said, “but that’s your food on the table”. She then got up and said, “So it’s mine, I didn’t know”.

It’s just same way with most believers; most of what we pray for has been given to us already but we lack the “knowledge” of the TRUTH that will enable us see things clearly (John 8:32). Some pray and are not patient enough to get the response from God. Some are complaining about their situations now which might be as a result of God “processing” them for that great thing He is specially preparing for them.

Most times, we make the mistake of wanting God to come down to our level by fulfilling what “we” and not “HIM’ wants for our lives(Isaiah 55:8, Romans 11:33) which are mostly under-class(not up to HIS standard); He is a GREAT God and can only give us what’s according to His standard – GREAT things.

I can go on and on but will just advice us all to please pray for the intervention of the Holy Spirit in our lives because it’s HIM that can comfort us, show us and teach us ALL what we need to know – including opening our eyes to the answers given… (John 14:26).

Shalom!

Stop using the Word against the Word!

It’s so demeaning…and so…sad when “Christians” use the WORD against the WORD instead of using the WORD against the World.
The devil, so…cunning and deceitful, is turning the “soldiers” of Christ against themselves on the battle field while he watches and mocks….and they are allowing him. #smh#

When being corrected on unseemly acts of service towards God and you’re quoting, ‘His grace is sufficient….’, you’re simply fighting the Word with the Word.

When God issues out a new command and you remind Him of His old ones; quoting scriptures, refusing to heed to His new commands, you’re simply fighting the Word with the Word. Let’s learn from Moses because this same attitude cost Moses the promised land flowing with Milk & Honey… And nearly cost him Heaven… (Numbers 2:8-12, Jude 1:9)
…Just same way it’s going to cost some believers now the promised land (Rev 7:1-17), and during their time on earth after rapture (Rev 13:7-8), it might cost them Heaven if they still do not hearken to the Word then. Rev 20:1-15.

A fellow brethren corrects you, using 1 Corinthians 8:9 as a backup and you’re quoting Romans 2:1 as a comeback (feeling too big to be corrected), You’re simply fighting the Word with the Word.

Note:”Unbelievers” use the Word against the Word. Numbers 2:12

Shalom!
Words of Wisdom;
“Being in church doesn’t make you a Christian; Being in Christ does”. I can derive from this saying that there are “Christians” and there are “Churchians”. Which category do you fall in?
It’s simple logic you know, Just as one who is born in Nigeria is called a Nigerian; So is one who is born in Christ called a Christian.
(See why you have to be born again?)

The Word

From: The WORD

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. (For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins…)

…The turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. (For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.)

P.S: O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. (If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.)

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

(Proverbs 14:9, Proverbs 1:22 – Hebrews 10:26, Proverbs 1:32 – 2 Peter 2:20 , Proverbs 8:5 – James 1:5, Matthew 13:9)

To: You
Shalom!

Still bent on listening to the world at the expense of the Truth?

The world says, ‘What you don’t know won’t kill you’. The Word says, ‘What you don’t know is what’s actually killing you’ – Hosea 4:6.
Still bent on listening to the world at the expense of the Truth?…

The world says you are a “Jack of all trade, master of none”.
The Word says, ‘You can be a jack of all trade and master of all’ (as far as there’s ‘GOD’ in the equation) Phillipians 4:13. Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27.
Still bent on listening to the world at the expense of the Truth?. You might want to have a re-think…

…And remember; only the Truth can set you free. Shalom!

“Judas”? OR “Peter”?

Jesus told Judas and Peter of their “acts” against him everly before they committed it. Peter was repentant after he denied Jesus thrice. (Matt 26:75)

Judas, on the other hand, wasn’t; going back to meet with the chief priests for his payment after betraying Jesus.
Judas(like most believers now) could have thought in his heart that he can betray Jesus and get away with it, saying in his mind “at least I’m one of the disciples who worked with the ‘Messiah’ and God is indeed ‘gracious’ and merciful, He will understand.”

GOD cannot be deceived/mocked, He knows our innermost thoughts. He knows the in-depth feelings of our hearts despite what we might try to act out to people.

Are you a “Judas”? OR a “Peter”?

P.S: Remember the disastrous end of Judas.
