Thank You, Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 3:7 “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

I have seen and heard a lot of people use this Bible verse so out of context. It’s highly saddening when believers (and unbelievers) use the Bible as a source for winning “debate” points amongst themselves. Most only visit their Bible for confirmation (or not at all) when they hear quotations from the WORD they believe they can use as backup SELFISHLY.

Last I checked, the comparative “WEAKER” is for the adjective “WEAK” NOT “STRONG” so terming the woman “weaker vessel” doesn’t mean the man is the “strong vessel”. The Man and Woman are “weak” vessels but the woman vessel is weaker than the other (man) vessel. If there’s any STRONG Being, that would be GOD. Besides, we are talking “vessels” here →“body” which is only a temporary thing bound to perish soon.

Moreover, should we at all be concerned about who is “weaker” OR focus more on who is harvesting more for the Kingdom of GOD (“…being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered”). The devil derails us so easily with inconsequential things because we who ought to be even more WATCHFUL and VIGILANT at this end time are doing neither. GET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT, Brethren. Focus more on the eternal things than on the temporary ones. 2 Corinthians 4:1-18; 5:1-10.
