Handling tough times.

When going through dilemmas and dark days, what you need do to keep your head up and spirit lifted is to always bring to mind all the good deeds GOD has done for you in time past and then visualize (never let the visualization become dim) all the good deeds HE will do for you and your loved ones in the nearest future.

This is what kept me going during my service days in the North amidst bombing terrors and wars, never forgetting that I have the Living God always by my side and looking forward to the days when the service will finally end and I will be able to go back to safe grounds.

Matthew 4:1 and John 14:26 fortifies us with the knowledge that we (the children of GOD – Believers) always have the Holy Spirit working(comforting and teaching) with us in whatever we do and HE will never allow us be tempted above that we are able – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Luke 11:13
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

Thank You, Holy Spirit.

Jesus didn’t leave The Father when things got very tough and calamities befell Him while here on earth. Instead, He got closer to GOD. And we ought to be Christ-like, right? Hmmm… our righteousness is indeed filthy…if the only time we act right is when things work in our favor.

Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego were humans like us. They told the King then that they were not going to bow down to his god even if GOD forsakes them and this great act of faith brought GOD down into their midst in the fire and they weren’t hurt in any way.

Why are we; the Chosen Generation, Royal Priesthoods, Holy Nation, Peculiar People now bowing to the hurts, pains, hardships, and calamities that befall us, thus forsaking GOD for the world? Why do we break so easily when our faiths are being put to the test? “Job”, a being like you and I, held on to GOD despite the mighty calamity that befell him.

Remember; you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phil 4:16). You can overcome the hardships and pains and hurts and calamities through Christ who strengthens you.

So when the going gets tough, stick to GOD; when it gets tougher, get much closer to GOD. NEVER leave/be far from The Source so you don’t get lost.

1 Corinthians 10:13

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able: but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Not in Christ yet? Or was in Him before but no more? You can join the winning team now by asking GOD sincerely to forgive you, confessing your sins to Him and confessing Him as the only Lord and Saviour. Ask Jesus to come into your life to be the Lord of you, promising to forsake all your sinful ways.

What does JEHOVAH want for me?

John 17
14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[a] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

 Thank You, Holy Spirit.

Reading through the scriptures we definitely have come across many promises of GOD for HIS Children and Jeremiah 29:11 sheds more light, making us know that His thoughts for us are of good not evil. When going through hard and trying times we are inspired to go through His WORD, repeating to ourselves His written promises.

You’ll agree with me that there is a specific time and place given for every happening here on earth. GOD is going to give us every last drop of good thing He has promised to us (Matt 7:11, John 16:33, Romans 8:28) but not just in this evil-filled world because they’re just going to get polluted (by the evil) when we get them.

It’s just like living in a ‘shack’ located in a filthy place and anytime the governor comes asking for what you need, you tell him money and he keeps giving you all the money but you’re still there living in the filth. The world has now come to tag you as “the richest man living in the filth.”

Wouldn’t it have been wiser to ask for a house in the Governor’s Estate and a job to go with it? This is what JEHOVAH wants for me and you; for us to come live with HIM in HIS Estate (Heaven), working for HIM here on earth (as an evangelist) pending the time he will come remove us from this filth into eternal purity.

JESUS knows this too; sure that’s why He said in John 17:15 “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil” knowing full well that His Ministry (our ministry now) is not that of selfishness but selflessness. And that we as His followers have work to do here (evangelizing – bringing in more souls, living as clean as we can amidst the filth – evil) before we are called home (to Heaven).

We should pray more for the grace to persevere and adhere so that when He finally comes to take us out of this filth, we wouldn’t have been so consumed by the filth as to be left behind because where He is taking us is a spotless CLEAN place where no filth is condoned and any form of filth will only serve as a pollutant to the CLEAN (Holy) place.

Maybe we’ll understand better now why NO SINNER can be allowed in Heaven, Why we must make much use of the time being given us now to repent and walk aright, Why we must practice CLEANLINESS (Holiness) at all times so as to get used to it thus ridding ourselves off the filth (SIN), so that we can be found worthy to be taken along when HE finally arrives to take HIS own. Rev 7:13-17

In summary, let’s be more Heaven conscious than world conscious; focus more on the permanent, everlasting things than on the temporary, just-for-a-while things. Pray more for the grace to overcome SIN and live aright than for (the grace to thrive more in SIN with) more riches and worldly success. When experiencing hard and trying times; pray for the grace to come out stronger and victorious, don’t wallow in self-pity, bitterness, and excessive complaints because what JEHOVAH wants for you and I is to come live with HIM in eternity.

Pray that The Holy Spirit comfort and teach you and be ready to learn as a child.

Reading through the Bible with a divine understanding, we won’t fail to note that The Trinity has always been in sync, working together. We can see Jesus and the Holy Spirit working at the beginning of creation, creating man in its spirit form in Genesis chapter 1 and Jehovah (GOD the Father) continuing with the creation in its physical form in Gen 2:4 [God (Jesus) ended His creation in Gen 2:2-3 and the LORD God started His in Gen 2:4] Proverbs 8:22-30. Maybe this will shed more light on the saying that “the spiritual controls the physical” i.e., things pertaining to life are settled spiritually first before physically manifesting. Heb 1:2, 8-10.

John 10:30 “I and my Father are one.”

In 1 Kings 19:9-15, Jesus (Word of the Lord(Rev 19:13), Jn1:1) came to answer Elijah first and after hearing what Elijah had to say granted him access to the Father (Jehovah) by telling him to go and stand upon the mount before the LORD (1 kings 19:11a). [John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. “]

John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

GOD the Son (Word of the LORD) interacted with different anointed men then; Daniel, Solomon, David, Elijah…to mention but a few and none of them measured up to the task of saving human-kind so “The Word of the LORD” had to come down to carry out this great task Himself. Owing, I guess, to one of the facts that His delight has always been with the sons of men just as He Himself is the delight of the Father (Prov 8:30-31)

Not accepting Him as your Lord and Savior via word and action is akin to putting a gun to the head of someone who rescued you from the den of terrorists bent on slaughtering, and then pulling the trigger. Heb 9:23-28, 1 John 4:1-3.

2 John 1:9 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”

1 Timothy 2:5“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
