What does JEHOVAH want for me?

John 17
14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[a] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

 Thank You, Holy Spirit.

Reading through the scriptures we definitely have come across many promises of GOD for HIS Children and Jeremiah 29:11 sheds more light, making us know that His thoughts for us are of good not evil. When going through hard and trying times we are inspired to go through His WORD, repeating to ourselves His written promises.

You’ll agree with me that there is a specific time and place given for every happening here on earth. GOD is going to give us every last drop of good thing He has promised to us (Matt 7:11, John 16:33, Romans 8:28) but not just in this evil-filled world because they’re just going to get polluted (by the evil) when we get them.

It’s just like living in a ‘shack’ located in a filthy place and anytime the governor comes asking for what you need, you tell him money and he keeps giving you all the money but you’re still there living in the filth. The world has now come to tag you as “the richest man living in the filth.”

Wouldn’t it have been wiser to ask for a house in the Governor’s Estate and a job to go with it? This is what JEHOVAH wants for me and you; for us to come live with HIM in HIS Estate (Heaven), working for HIM here on earth (as an evangelist) pending the time he will come remove us from this filth into eternal purity.

JESUS knows this too; sure that’s why He said in John 17:15 “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil” knowing full well that His Ministry (our ministry now) is not that of selfishness but selflessness. And that we as His followers have work to do here (evangelizing – bringing in more souls, living as clean as we can amidst the filth – evil) before we are called home (to Heaven).

We should pray more for the grace to persevere and adhere so that when He finally comes to take us out of this filth, we wouldn’t have been so consumed by the filth as to be left behind because where He is taking us is a spotless CLEAN place where no filth is condoned and any form of filth will only serve as a pollutant to the CLEAN (Holy) place.

Maybe we’ll understand better now why NO SINNER can be allowed in Heaven, Why we must make much use of the time being given us now to repent and walk aright, Why we must practice CLEANLINESS (Holiness) at all times so as to get used to it thus ridding ourselves off the filth (SIN), so that we can be found worthy to be taken along when HE finally arrives to take HIS own. Rev 7:13-17

In summary, let’s be more Heaven conscious than world conscious; focus more on the permanent, everlasting things than on the temporary, just-for-a-while things. Pray more for the grace to overcome SIN and live aright than for (the grace to thrive more in SIN with) more riches and worldly success. When experiencing hard and trying times; pray for the grace to come out stronger and victorious, don’t wallow in self-pity, bitterness, and excessive complaints because what JEHOVAH wants for you and I is to come live with HIM in eternity.

Pray that The Holy Spirit comfort and teach you and be ready to learn as a child.

Shalom!
