Bear fruits worthy of repentance.

Thank You Holy Spirit.

Luke 3:7-8
7) Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8) Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Wow! Same thing happening all over again! When I go through The Word at times and The HolySpirit reveals some rhema to me, I get this “déjà vu” kind of feeling.

Let’s look at Luke 3:8 again (Luke 3:8 -Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham) and compare it with what people are saying now – “We have Jesus Christ as our Lord, we’re forever saved by grace”, leading many to continue to wallow in their sins. Romans 6:15-16.

The Word is forever living; giving same warning to each generation as they begin to follow the errors of their predecessors.

John the Baptist is saying it to you and I again,
“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Jesus as our Lord and are forever saved by grace. GOD cannot come down, He needs man to do the work, etc’.
For I say to you that GOD is able to raise up joint-heirs to Jesus from these stones.”

Many confessed to have repented but the fruits (e.g, malice, hatred, jealousy, greed, covetousness, lust, love for worldly things, etc) they’re bearing says something else.

Just like the Pharisees of old who in their own eyes believed they were right but Jesus had this – John 8:44 (read) to say to them because the fruits they were bearing were not Jehovah’s; Same is going to happen again when He comes back and meet the Pharisees of today and He’ll have this – Matt 7:23 (read) to say to them.

Remember; “Every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” ~ Luke 3:9
