Thank You Holy Spirit.
Hmmm……. When it comes to asking GOD for our personal needs, we can go at it for days, months, even years. Not giving up but ever pressing harder still…
Our faith is weaker then…we don’t just ask once and believe He has heard and it is answered…and leave it at that. We keep asking.
In fact, we go all out looking for scriptures to back our persistence.
But when winning souls for Christ, we believe it shouldn’t be by the eloquence of our speech or our persistence, so we just give out the flier, or tell them the crammed words (taking every question asked by the soul to get a better understanding as “argument”) and leave the rest to God. Our faith being ever stronger.
Hmmm… the heart of man, desperately self-centered.
But of course, it shouldn’t be by the eloquence of our speech or by our strength…
…Not that GOD couldn’t have done it Himself without our help but that’s the way He wants it. And that doesn’t give us the right to do it anyhow.
We even sell our “ever perishing” products as man more aggressively than we do that of Christ (His product being “the everlasting life”) because deep down, we have not come to accept His burden (of soul winning) as ours. Matthew 11:30
Note: We’re not only to be joint “heirs” with Him; this venture entails you and I to be joint with Him in all ramifications even while here on earth.
Ezekiel 33:31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.
