The Title “PRINCE OF PEACE” is often used to refer to Jesus Christ,
But have you ever wandered, what the origin of the title is, and what it means?
“For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His Name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD,
Eternal FATHER, Prince of Peace”-Isaiah 9:6.
Jesus did not come to broker peace between you and the world, or to make a Christian the next Rockerfeller.
Jesus came EXCLUSIVELY to restore us back to the FATHER,
It is through His death and ressurection that we now have PEACE WITH YHWH.
And that a man has peace with the FATHER doesn’t mean he’ll be the favourite of everybody, quite the contrary;
“Do NOT SUPPOSE that I have come to bring PEACE TO THE EARTH.
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
“Anyone who loves their father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
Whoever does not take up their cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.
Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for My sake will find it.”-Matthew 10:34-39.
It is often our love for our parents, spouses, children, and SELF PRESERVATION; the legitimate concerns, that makes us do the little, little compromises that takes Christ off the centre stage of our hearts.
BUT you have Peace Now With The FATHER, you can do the seemingly impossible, die to self.
To live is Christ, TO DIE IS GAIN.
