EVANGELISM 101.

EVANGELISM 101.

1 Timothy 4. MSG

1 “The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by PROFESSIONAL LIARS.”

11-14 “GET THE WORD OUT. TEACH ALL THESE THINGS. AND DON’T LET ANYONE PUT YOU DOWN BECAUSE YOU’RE YOUNG. Teach believers with your life: by word, by demeanor, by love, by faith, by integrity. Stay at your post reading Scripture, giving counsel, teaching. And that special gift of ministry you were given when the “leaders of the church”{THE TRINITY} laid hands on you and prayed—keep that dusted off and in use.”

15-16 “Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don’t be diverted. JUST KEEP AT IT. BOTH YOU AND THOSE WHO HEAR YOU WILL EXPERIENCE SALVATION.”

From the above verse of the scripture, you’ll note that Paul admonish the “growing believer” to~ “GET THE WORDS OUT….. TEACH….. DON’T LET ANYONE PUT YOU DOWN BECAUSE YOU’RE YOUNG”

This is because “the world” will want you to be “100% perfect” before you open your mouth to preach to them…

…and you’ll be hearing words like “how can a mere poor carpenter like you who goes clubbing with sinners{Luke 7:34} preach to me, an upright Pharisee/Scribe/Elder, who is a very successful business tycoon??” {John 15:18; 7:7} being ignorant of “Luke 5:32”.

It is so sad that many have fallen a VICTIM of these sayings by the world and have thus resulted to evil means of being successful/wealthy/influential/etc, in order to appeal to the Pharisees/Scribes/Elders of this present age thus becoming “PROFESSIONAL LIARS”. 2 Timothy 1:7

It is an ONGOING process; START{Exodus 4:10-12} preaching the good news and you’ll see that it will begin to rub off on your life and character and as you go on, Paul advice that you “keep a firm (spiritual) grasp on both your character and your teaching”{this is your maturing stage}.

In conclusion, “JUST KEEP AT IT. BOTH YOU AND THOSE WHO HEAR YOU WILL EXPERIENCE SALVATION.” Zechariah 4:6, 1 Corinthians 2:4-5; 4:20.
