They are very powerful lines!
Powerful lines and rhymes that can get your attention and tickle your fancy.
They can effortless locate the “vulnerability (mumu) button” of many.
They sound like the gospel but they are not the gospel.
They are just high-sounding hypes that have no bearing with the gospel
They subtly appeal to the greed and the quest for material acquisition in the hearer.
They have been used by the ” who is who” in the church who have turned Jesus to an industry.
I have seen many anointed preachers turned prosperity pimps, deploy these lines to make people drop whatever is in their hands ostensibly for God.
The actors know enough scriptures to weave doctrines around these lines.
They are fantastic fundraisers!
When the lines drop “in the name of the Lord”, your brain freezes.
When the lines drop amidst “grass to grace” stories and and testimonies, you get emotional.
With good music in the background, the hairs in your body stand up and you would mistake this for the Holy Spirit….
The lines are many but a few are here:
“Hands joined in hands God will not bless a non-tither”
“Your destiny in life is tied to your sacrifice”
” As the economy of the a country is run by tax, the economy of heaven is run by tithe”
” I’m taking this seed from you because I want to help you to move to your next level in life”
“I hear it in my spirit, God wants me to take a seed from you… ”
“Your destiny in life is tied to your prophets”
“If things are tight for you, check your tithe”.
“If you are suffering, check your offering”
“Provoke God with a dangerous seed in your hand”.
“A woman who knows how to honor her prophet, is the most dangerous thing to the kingdom of darkness”
“If it doesn’t pain you, it doesn’t move God. David said I will not give God what costs me nothing”.
“Offering time, blessing time”
“Offering time is not just blessing time, it’s judgment time to determine your future”
“God does not respond to needs, He responds to seeds”.
“the anointing you don’t respect you don’t attract ”
And the list goes on….
Dear friend, let me be honest with you, If you still fall for any of these lines, it is a sign that you do not understand the gospel, and “The Faith that was once delivered to the saints”.
It doesn’t matter who says it, if it is not in tandem with the faith that was once delivered to the saints, it remains a fat lie.
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been FREELY GIVEN TO US BY GOD.
I Corinthians 2:12 NKJV
You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
