Paternity Test!

Still single and sexing, married and sleeping around, backbiting, stealing, lying, indulging in shady dealings, envying, hating, and then still saying; I am a Child of GOD, He is my Father. You sure you really know who your Father is???

Titus 1:16
    They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.  (Matthew 10:33 “But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”)

You might want to go to 1 John 4:1-21 (emphasis on verse 17 & 20) for a Paternity test. #just saying…

Titus 1

1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:

11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.

12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Having Marital issues???

Assuming marriage is an institution where when you enter, you cannot come out of again and it is being mandated by the death of any of the two persons (now one) involved who tries to leave, I wonder if people will be thinking of divorce if anything happens in their marriage, no matter the weight. I also wonder if people will not think and Pray very well, ensuring they actually hear from God before entering into one.

When one is being pushed to a wall having no space of escape again, what one does is FIGHT BACK. You are not going to be wrestling against your spouse BUT against the unseen evil forces using him/her.

Ephesians 6:12

    “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Leaving him/her is not going to make him/her a better person which is actually one of your work descriptions when you both decided to be yoked together.

He/She wasn’t created by God that way because God is LOVE. So, any traits in her (or him) that doesn’t conform to GOD is of the devil. It is time You face the devil and fight back because he is simply using that home as a playground.

UCB Word for Today…

Matthew 5:8   “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

Mark 4:23  If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.”

‘Then Moses said to the Lord…’ Exodus 33:12
Throughout the book of Exodus we read these two statements: ‘The Lord said to Moses,’ and ‘Moses said to the people.’ There’s an important lesson here. Until you have heard from God, what do you have to say to anybody else that’s worth consideration? Does that mean God won’t use your brain? No, when your thoughts and desires are submitted to Him He will actually think and speak through you. What a privilege. The trouble is, we want to speak without first consulting God and hearing from Him. The people Moses had been called to lead hadn’t heard from God for four hundred years. After ten generations of living without God’s Word, can you imagine the shape they were in spiritually? If you want to know how such a mindset will act, look at their responses every time they had a problem in the wilderness. They wanted to go back to the security of Egypt! This is one of the dangers you will face as a leader. You must love people and listen to them, but you must be led only by God. And unless you know God intimately, when times get tough people will take you back to what’s familiar and comfortable to them. When people want to go back to their old way of doing things, it’s usually because they don’t know God well enough. The litmus test of spiritual leadership is found in the ability to hear from God, and then to teach people to love God, to discern His will, and begin to walk according to it!

Gen 2

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

As a woman, anytime you get married to a man (and vice-versa), you get re-made spiritually which will surely show forth physically. This is the reason a woman/man who was once nice, caring, vivacious and loving becomes rude, uncaring, sluggish, depressive and hateful after marriage.

 2 Corinthians 6:14

    “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

This “unbeliever” might actually be that prayer leader, pastor, choir leader,etc you’ve been focusing your gaze on (the gaze that should have been focused on Jesus so He can bring the partner with all the things He (God) is gonna be adding unto you). And this “unbeliever” might actually be YOU.

It works both ways. You can either be the “Light” which shouldn’t be yoked with “darkness” OR the “Darkness” which shouldn’t be yoked with “Light”. Lets check our lives and begin on a ‘repenting journey’ spree now.

Are you the one staining your spouse’s “white garment” OR is He the one staining yours? This is a soul-searching question every couple going through marital issues need to be asking themselves and answering truthfully so there can be a solution to all the issues, with the help of GOD.

Gen 1

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

We were created “GOOD”, perfect, and fit for use (Luke 6:40 “The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”)  until the devil came (and is still coming) and brought (brings) about a re-make; BAD, unperfect, not fit for use.

Gen 2

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

This is how the remaking happens. There’s a merging. Just same way you can’t mix a rotten egg with a good one believing the purity of the good egg will enable the end product of both mixture come out well, so is same way you can’t mix with an “unbeliever” and expect a peaceful outcome in the marriage life or a change in the life of your partner through your own righteousness(which is even a “filthy rag” before GOD in the first place).

It will only take the intervention of GOD to turn things around in this kind of mixture when you – the believer asks Him. But you would have suffered or undergone harsh things before then, so why not just ask GOD to intervene everly before even entering or mixing or yoking with that person in the first place?

 2 Timothy 2

    15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Are You meet for the Master’s use??? (I’m also among the “You” o)

The Fear of the LORD…

2 Chronicles 19:7
    “Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.”

Ephesians 6:16
  “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

 Deuteronomy 6:24
    “And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.”

Do you know that even the devil himself obeys some Heavenly theorems which yield good returns for him? And he is cunningly convincing You and I not to obey those theorems so we won’t have access to the ‘good returns’ he is having access to. Hmmm….. So much greed and hate in a creature!

Let’s look at one of those Heavenly based theorems…
Proverbs 1:7
    “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

The devil fears GOD (guess that’s why he has to go ask GOD for permission before he can harm any of GOD’s children), he surely well knows his boundary and that’s why he is wise (remember Matthew 10:16).

We show a lack of fear when we disobey God and act contrary to His Words concerning us (believers) and this is mostly brought about by the devil’s cunning manipulations and control over humans (which the humans allow just as Eve allowed it in the garden of Eden).

Proverbs 9:10
    “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

Psalms 111:10
    “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”

 Psalms 19:9
   “The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.”

Luke 12:5
    “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

Psalms 2:11
    “Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.”

2 Corinthians 7:1
    “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

You can’t keep your sanity and the Holy Spirit at the same time. You’ll just have to let go of one.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Peter experienced this on the water after hearing the word from Jesus “come”. His sanity disappeared then and the Spirit arose in him and he started walking on water. Then, he began to crave for his sanity back which he got when the Spirit had to leave.
Then, what happened? Peter began to sink (with his sanity). Had he known, he would have just stuck with the Spirit and continue breaking ‘world’ records.

Note: No matter the educational, monetary, honorary, etc. height one has attained, without the Holy Spirit indwelling, we are just FOOLS.

1 Corinthians 3:18
“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.”

1 Corinthians 3:19
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

God help us.

I thank You Holy Spirit for this eye-opener.

2 Timothy 2:15  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

To really know and understand Jesus, one has to “study” Him (the word of truth).
Same way, to really know and understand your spouse, you have to “study” your spouse.

Little wonder Eph 5:24-25 correlated the relationship btw man and wife with that of Christ and the Church.

You married an extrovert and is asking someone who married an introvert for marital advice.
How is that advice going to work for you? Instead, just go directly to the Creator of both the extrovert and introvert to ‘table out’ the matter.

God help us.

Obedience is definitely better…

Why do people always like doing things the HARD way when there’s an option of doing it the EASY way?
Obey GOD now the EASY way, or else you will Obey Him the HARD way after rapture when the devil is ruling.

Luke 12:4-5
4) And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Luke 12:4 – Don’t be afraid of the devil who can only torment your body not spirit. (Romans 8:15, 2 Timothy 1:7)
Luke 12:5 – Fear GOD (Isaiah 11:2, 2 Corinthians 7:1) who has power to “spue you out of His mouth” if you become “warm” – unbeliever.

Luke 9:62
“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

God helps those who are willing to be helped.

The Holy Spirit.

 John 14:26  “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

It’s sad that a generation can pass by who thinks the Holy Spirit is only good at whispering bible verses into your head.

For the one who established the fundamental Laws of cell life and how the worlds were established, are new ideas in Biology, Medicine, Geology and Physics too much to ask him?

For the one who MADE man, life and every animal, are new ideas in psychology, zoology and genetics too much for Him to handle?

We subconsciously box God in and call Him ‘dumb’ when we don’t invite Him into our workstations.

We need to understand that Jesus is not a demolisher of the sciences and arts. In fact if its true that the Word (Jesus) was with the Father when He said ‘Let There Be’, we have the keys to the location of the treasures that were buried before the world began. We have the keys to all the cures and methods science seeks to discover. We have the Holy Spirit. And He is brilliant, in fact the brightest…. (by Ayomide Akinkugbe)

2 Corinthians 3:14-17

14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

I don’t know about you but I’m so going in on this one.

Dear Brethren,
When God said we should bring our tithes and offerings into His storehouse, He didn’t say it’s because He is hungry, or bringing it would  increase the blessings He has in stock. Bringing it, is for our own good.

I’ve had series of testimony to this effect. When it remains a last penny on me, the Spirit will tell me to pay it all as offering. At first, I was like, “my last kobo? What will i then use to eat” And He’s like “who gave you the money in the first instance, think of the larger ones you’ve spent compared to this little”. After pondering on it, I gave in.
Two days later, I received x100 of that little money I gave (actually calculated it).

This dialogue often occur when I’m thinking of how to maximize my last penny till it got to a time that I don’t question Him again, I just give it knowing multiples of it is coming back soon.
When we give tithes and offerings, WE gain.

But when we give our testimonies(talents), GOD gains, because your testimony breeds testimonies. You ask, how?
It’s like this; when you share your testimony(s) with a soul/souls (just like the woman of Samaria) and he/they believes, it is passed on till there’s increase in the number of souls. GOD gains because now more of His creation (who has been lost to sin) are coming back Home.
And I believe this was Jesus thought when He said “It’s good to give than to receive”

We are mostly self-centered when praying to God. Even when worshiping and praising Him at times, we will still be saying “God I am praising You now o, open the flood gates of heaven and shower blessings down on ME”

Jesus said we should ask, seek, knock and gave us hint on what to ask, seek, knock, for.
Ask for the Holy Spirit(Luke 11:23)
Seek first His Kingdom.(Luke 12:29-31, Luke 17:33, 1Kings 3:5-14)
Only the Believers opens to His knock,(Luke 13:24-30, Rev 3:20)

When have we ever prayed and it’s solely focused on GOD. When have we ever fasted and prayed solely for the works of the Kingdom(without attaching our own needs to it). Jesus taught us all this – Matt 6:9-10.

“Thy WILL be done in Earth as it is in Heaven” The first thing He prayed for was the Kingdom, that GOD’s WILL of ‘fellowship’ with His creations(Rev 4:10-11, 19:4, 11:6), of having His creations come to Him(Matt 11:28), be fulfilled.
Support this prayer with your works of winning souls into His Kingdom.
God helps those who helps themselves.
