I believe it’s when we hide under the cover of “grace” to sin that we actually say in other words that “the death of Christ on the Cross is not potent enough to save (or separate) from sin…”

Besides, is that not the whole essence of being saved from sin~ being “born again”???…….that after shedding off the “bad guy” we have now chosen to be the “good guy”(with the help of the Holy Spirit of course)?

Choosing to do good is not because we believe it’s the yardstick to making heaven… Definitely not.

Have you ever wondered what would happen to the whole of humanity if everyone decides to be bad? …Because I’m sure you know we all have that bad side and it’s GOD helping us to bring out that good side and work on it

Leviticus  20:7  Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus  20:26  And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

I believe that up there is the reason we have to bear good fruits, thus be good.
GOD expects nothing less from us.

We (who are saved by the blood of Christ) are now GOD’S temple and GOD expects His temple to be kept clean and pure.

“Being good” is not what we do because we want to make heaven, not at all.

“Being good” is the fruit of our knowledge as citizens of Heaven. It is what we have chosen as opposed to being evil(Sinful- Adamic nature).

I’ve heard people tell me it’s not about works but grace so why not enjoy life..(drink, club, sex, etc)

We’re humans and our hearts have been known to be “desperately wicked”. You can’t keep telling a convert that is already working at overcoming a bad habit that “it’s not by works but by grace” and still expect him to keep working at it…

Or was it not the same Paul that said;
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT YOUR OWN SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians  2:12-13)

As concerning our Spiritual walk with The Holy Spirit, some knowledge are best left unshared(if they can’t be expressly explained) for the sake of the babes amongst us so it doesn’t cause confusion.

The Church at Corinth were also involved in this error of taking the grace for granted via their knowledge of “we’re not under the law/it’s not by works but by grace” which they took to the extreme and this is what Paul had to tell them ~ 1 Corinthians 8 (read the whole chapter)

1 Corinthians  8:9 “But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

8:10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

8:11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
8:12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Remember;  “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” ~ Matthew  25:40

“He looked up and said, “I see people that look like trees, walking””-Mark8:24 ;

This part is very interesting. The blind man didn’t just say he saw people like trees, which would have made sense to me that he had a blurred vision but beyond what we term a blurred vision, he said he saw PEOPLE like TREES, WALKING; hey! Trees WALKING!
The vision Christ showed this blind man was not literal trees; it was a spiritual vision; God gave him an understanding of having a spiritual sight before he gave him the physical; the vision showed him that the entire MANkind are seen by Heaven as WALKING TREES that must produce good FRUIT; any walking tree that don’t bear fruit will therefore be cut off!
As walking trees in the church, it is by our FRUITS that we are known, not by our expensive SUITS as men! Without this spiritual understanding of sight, there is no way his blindness even in the physical can be cured! …
Receive thy sight O Church!

The Church should be seeing more into the spiritual.
Our worth should be sourced from the spiritual.
We should not see as the world sees.
Our values should transcend the values of the world.

Until We Come To The Unity Of Faith

7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

After Paul had enlightened in depth from verse 1-24 of Romans 7, he concluded like this “…..So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God (in newness of spirit); but with the flesh the law of sin (in the oldness of letter)”.

Paul, in verse 25 of Romans 7, explains how he (knowing all what he does) still adds work to his Faith; obeying the commandments (law of sin)~ in order to subject his flesh and put it under control] even while still having the fore knowledge (via his mind) that the law of sin doesn’t have a hold on him anymore through Christ’s death

You use Law to lead sinners to Grace not assure Sinners that they are already in Grace

It’s just like it was when Christ was here on earth… How He still went through the rudiments of man (obeying till death ~ Phillipians 2:8) even while knowing fully well that He is God.

Same way, we have to read the scriptures (both Old (flesh) and New Testaments (Spirit)) and ensure to OBEY (in like manner as our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ). This will surely help in tampering down our flesh which always wants to rule us.

We exhibit true humility when we ensure to obey to the last, not excusing our excesses or sin in anyway, and definitely not using “grace” as a cover-up.

Let’s endeavor to read the scriptures with the aid of the Holy Spirit and learn.

Luke 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
